Feather Earrings diy tutorial

Made a pair of feather earrings. I have longed to own a pair for years. Of course, I had to find similar feathers.

After a long time, uploaded a video. Please view and leave your feedback! Have a lovely day.

Rose face

I have the habit of drawing faces in all my notes. In the middle of the picture, I thought of drawing the same for my art journal page.

And here is the outcome. Partly pencil sketch and partly water colour using sponge technique.

I also added a few red roses!

Have a nice day!

Tangled and torn pages

Hola everyone!

For the first time in my life, I have started a YouTube channel and uploaded a video! Yay!

It goes by the same name as this blog (Little Amateur Artist) click here to visit my YouTube channel.

I did a page in my art journal and this is how it looks like

Initially, I had something else in my mind and started to paint the background black and in the middle of it my black paint ran out and I mixed some navy blue with it. It turned out to be a complete disaster when my navy blue decided to dry out into a very lighter shade. Still unmindful of it, I continued by sticking some silk thread on the page. Now, the glue (maybe with some kind of evil intention 😈) decided not to dry clear! Oh! Heavens bless my soul!

Then to add insult to the injury, the page got torn!😢

That was exactly when I thought of writing this quote "Tangled and Torn is pretty" (though I don't have a copyright, you can rest assured that it is my very own one!)

I added tangled to torn just because it started with the same letter. 😉

Well, I also took video of the process! I have attached it here. Watch and have fun!

Since this is my first video, I haven't quite figured out how to add voice or music. (Alas! My camera doesn't record my voice well!)

Hope the upcoming videos will be way better!

Have a nice day!

GIF using Flipaclip app

Hello everyone!

It's been a bit cloudy over here, a kind relief from the harsh Indian summer sun! Whew!

I spent almost the entire morning (more than 5 hours) in making the above GIF.

So, I thought of sharing a few steps of how I made the above video.

I am no expert in animation. So, I hope it is not too bad!

I used "flipaclip" animation app. I kinda love it because, you get to add even the smallest details (since you do it frame by frame). And I don't have the paid version. Only the free one.

12 frames per second.

Just used the pencil tool (of maximum size) to create the background. Added one dot per frame till the end.

Had emojis in my Samsung keypad. Used the plane emoji.

For the word "little", I added each letter per frame.

For the word "Amateur" I made them zig zag and by each frame, I aligned them.

For the word "Artist" I made them in a fade style. By using the option below.

Viola! At last I finished the 71 frame gif!

Have a wonderful day!

Yellow and Green pages

Hola! Another awesome weekend came to an end😩

And how did I spend it?

Doing a page in my art journal!

Yellow and Green is one of my favourite colour combinations. (The other being Black and Gold).

Filled my page with it! Ah! Now I feel the bliss😌!

Just take a look at the finished product!

The side view of squaresand rectangles.

Whispering winds!
Chirping birds!
My happy soul!

Literally, the winds were whispering and birds chirping

And my soul was too happy that I decided to paint it and celebrate it!

Step by step process:

1. The background.
I did the background with yellow paint and then gave a dash of green here and there with my brush.

2. The spider web:
I decided to bring in a spider web effect. So, with my black pen, I drew the cob web like thing.

It reminded me of the giant spider webs in The Hobbit.

Squares and rectangles!

I know the squares and rectangles aren't perfect. Life isn't perfect too!

Tada!

Have a wonderful next week!

Trying a YouTube tutorial

Hello guys!
Hope you all are doing well! Today I felt exceptionally happy (and I tend to paint in such cases😉). Actually I thought of going to the internet for some inspiration and ended up doing a replica.

And guess what? I turned out good!

Doesn't it look like a comet hit hole?

Have a wonderful day!

Making eye pins for earrings

Hello everyone! Welcome to my blog!
I have a guest over here, who will be accompanying us for a few posts!

Meet BUBBLES!
She consented to come and stay with us for a few weeks and be our MASCOT!
(Inspite of her busy schedule fighting the villians!😆)

Back to business!

Well, once my sister told me that eye pins that we attach to earrings were not available in her vicinity. So, I thought of making some with available articles.

We are going to make eye pins out of safety pins. Yeah, you will also need pliers.

Our safety pin to be used in the project.

Using pliers, cut along the dotted lines.
Line 1 to get rid of the head portion.
Line 2 to get rid of the sharp edge.

Violà! We are done!

DIY statement necklace

Bonjour to all my viewers! Hope you all had a wonderful day.

After giving lots of thought, a decided to make my own statement necklace. Yay! Since it is my first time experience in making necklaces, I wasn't sure at first as to how it would turn out. But it did turn out great!
Without much further ado, we will get into the details.

I always prefer to go with the available articles so that, the production cost does not exceed the cost it would occur when we buy one at store.

My supplies
    ♡ Beads.
    ♡Paint (if necessary).
♡String for base (I took a thicker thread so that it would look better).
    ♡Clasp
    ♡Jump rings

I cut the necessary length of thread needed.
I had white coloured thread at home. I wanted it to be of a darker shade. So I painted it. This step can be omitted if found unnecessary.
The thread after painting. I used acrylic colours so that it would stay fast onto the thread.
I let the clasp on one side and the jump ring on the other side. I fastened the ends by stitching them.

I let the beads in. That's it!
So simple to make and it looked fabulous.
